This is a support bracket designed to strengthen, or repair the back on a Pelton and Crane Chairman and keep them from breaking at the base where they tend to break. Made from Plate Steel and bet to fit with predrilled holes, they attach in a relatively short time, and come with a complete set of instructions and hardware.
The Pelton and Crane Chairman Bellows Support Kit is used to support plastic bellows housings that have cracked, or holes no longer support the screws. This steel bracket allows you to attach it to broken bellows housings and then firmly attach it to the base of the existing chair. It includes 2 brackets, one for each side, and mounting hardware.
The Pelton & Crane headrest glide allows the headrest to slide up and down without turning sideways. It requires pulling off the 6 screws that hold the top upholstery on, and removing the old glide. Then installing the headrest glide, and reinstalling the upholstery. Total time should be less than one hour and experience level on a 1-10 scale with 10 being difficult is around a 3-4.
These parts are not commercially available, so I began making them off my CNC out of a solid piece of Delrin. They are much stronger than the original piece, and come with a one year warranty.
